The Culture House
Launch a brand-new vegetarian restaurant in South Mumbai — one rooted in regional Indian cuisine, generational recipes, and a deep sense of cultural nostalgia.
Developed at Nh1 Design Studio in 2018.
The central design challenge was finding a mark that could carry both cultural depth and contemporary appeal. I developed a logo by merging the initials 'C' and 'H' to form the Devanagari character 'क', a form with phonetic resonance in both Hindi and English, and one that speaks directly to the restaurant's ethos of celebrating India's culinary heritage.
From that anchor, I built the complete visual system end-to-end: menus, signage, takeaway packaging, membership cards, banners, a feedback form, and animated venue assets. Each touchpoint was designed to reinforce the brand's warmth and cultural specificity.
